LORNA OF INVERVACK
(Glengarry V of Glengain & Lady Aileen of Invervack)
My first pony was a completely wild, rising two year old, which was my Christmas present when I was 11 years old. Her name was Lorna of Invervack. I hated that name and we called her 'Eilidh'. She had been herded into a cattle court and jammed in the corner, a rope halter placed over her head and I walked with a friend for 11 miles to get her home. She was less wild when we eventually arrived at the house!!!

Cunning, immensely clever, and with a very highly-strung attitude that most of her line have, she taught me everything. She hated schooling, loved jumping, would walk calmly past a 10 tonne truck but if a leaf was out of place by the side of a road ..... !! She would walk into the show ring and behave impeccably as though she did dressage everyday.
She bred four foals Misty-Morn, Iain, April and Fern. All our stock are related to Eilidh in one way or another as I love that particular line and we are expecting a new member of the family shortly. My new colt is her Grandson.

MEGGERNIE MAYDEW
(Glen Suie & Maymorn of Meggernie)
The best and worst combined. She did everthing, she loved it all. (Apart from in hand showing, she hated that!).
The numbers increased and included a skeletal, bad-tempered yearling filly, bought off Meggerine Estate for £100. At 8 years old, she won The Royal Highland Show for us - her temperament never really improved although we had by this time a mutual respect! Maydew or 'beast' as she was known to us had a fantastic personality but you had to know her to love her..... she is no longer with us but her memory lives on in her great grand niece, Misty.

ROSE OF INVERVACK

(Fergie of Strathmashie x Marilla of Invervack)

We sadly lost Rosie at the beginning of May 2007 due to a nasty case of mastitis and then stress laminitis. She was our matriarch and is so sadly missed. She was my father's most favourite pony and her life was cut short too early. She really was a great example of the breed in every respect.
